Description

Painting project windows and doors on the agenda? Then get this transparent stain for an outstanding satiny result.

The stain provides protection against penetrating moisture and is resistant to sunlight. You can choose between various wood shades to give your window frames, doors, wooden garage gates... a new look while the wood structure remains visible.

Note: Colourless is also an option, but for optimal UV protection, use this variant only on wood that has already been coloured.

Whether you are a professional or a painthusiast, this wood stain is a quality product that is pleasant to use thanks to its unique gel structure. The product is immediately ready for use and doesn't need to be diluted. Only stirring until you obtain a normal liquid is strongly recommended.

Can I return this product?

How to stain your windows and doors?

Preparation: Do you want to stain new or bare timber? Then lightly sand the wood, dust and degrease the surface. Then first use the matching primer, namely Xyladecor Primer Clear.

Application: Once the first coat has dried, you can start working with the transparent stain in your desired wood colour. Make sure to stir the gel structure well before you start. It may be stirred into a smooth equal mass. Then you need to apply two coats of this using a flat brush. If your wood has been stained before, you can just leave out the primer.

What colours can you get in this stain for windows and doors?

You can get the Xyladecor stain in different wood tones such as Pallisander, teak, light oak, ...

Pallisander is the darkest variant and is already close to black. The wood structure remains visible. If you prefer a light wood shade, you can go for 4020 light oak. This is the lightest variant.

If you prefer to go with a colourless stain, this is certainly also possible. This colour is indicated on the pot as natural, but is indeed colourless. Note: If you take the colourless stain, your wood will not be protected against UV rays. The other wood shades, however, can enjoy the optimal sun protection.
