Description
Keep your exterior joinery in top condition with V33 Deuren & Ramen High Protection. This quality wood stain offers superior protection against weather conditions such as heavy rain and bright sunshine. This high-quality protection will keep your window frames and doors protected and looking radiant for up to about 8 years. This is excellent outdoor durability for a transparent stain.
Perfectly applicable to various types of wood in new, untreated condition or wood that has been previously stained. Beware: exotic woods and iroko are best painted with another product.

How do I use V33 Houtbeits Deuren & Ramen?
Preparation: If you have new/ untreated wood, make sure it is clean, dry and dust-free. Degrease greasy wood with a degreaser and sand the surface as well. You do this following the direction of the wood grain.
Application: Now you can get started with the wood stain for doors & Windows! Stir the stain well. Do this not only before use, but also during your paint job. Apply an undiluted coat with a brush or roller and let each coat dry for 12 hours. In total, you apply about 2-3 coats. Depending on the desired outcome. Sand lightly between coats for extremely good adhesion.
Want to apply this stain with a spray gun? You can if you dilute the stain with 10% White spirit. However, you should know that spraying paint is a skill and is not as easy as it seems.
After painting: Do not close your windows and doors immediately after staining yet. It's best to wait 24h for this, as by then the wood stain will be completely dry and this will avoid small hiccups. As your stain is solvent-based, rinse the painting material using white spirit.

What colours to choose in V33 Doors & Windows High Protection?
This product from V33 is a transparent wood stain, which means it accentuates the natural wood structure. But you can also give your wood a new wood tone. Think about the wood tone light oak, mahogany, northern pine, ... Important to know is that you cannot lighten your wood with a transparent stain. So if you have dark wood, go for the same dark shade or even a shade darker.

Note that the colourless variant shows the aspect of natural wood, the substance is effectively colourless. If you choose a colourless stain, your wood will be protected from the rain, but not really from the sun.
