Filling large holes in walls with Polyfilla
Preparation: Before you start working with the putty, your substrate must be in the right condition. So it is best to remove all loose parts first. In addition, make your wall grease- and dust-free.
Apply: Stir the paste very well, then the repair job can really begin! With a putty knife, press the paste firmly into the damage (2cm to 5cm). If you want a smooth result, you can finish with a wet putty knife. Is the damage larger than 5cm? Then it is better to fill the hole in two times and wait longer than 2 days between the two layers.
Cleaning: Are all large holes now filled? Well done! Now all that remains is to clean your tools, which you can do easily with warm water. Still important: save the leftover putty by replacing the cover sheet and sealing it tightly.
Ready to spruce up your already repaired wall with some paint? Then make sure that all the putty has dried out properly. Per 2cm, we recommend waiting 24h before painting. Once the waiting time is over, you can get started with one of our quality wall and ceiling paints.
