Step 1: preparation

- Clean the parquet: use a good degreaser to remove all dirt and grease from the surface. Your parquet should be completely clean and grease-free before proceeding.
- Time for inspection: take the time to inspect your parquet. Are there any damages, scratches or missing pieces? It's important to notice these and to repair them to restore your parquet.
- Remove any old finishes: if they're still there, make sure you remove them thoroughly before proceeding.
