A popular cycling race that is part of the UCI Europe Tour 2024. On 1 May, the race will start for the 58th time and you will be there from the front row.
Because here you will be able to read all the latest news. From route descriptions to predictions and finally also who will cross the line first.
Renewed route!
The start of the Omloop van het Waasland was located in the heart of Lokeren every year. Now there will be a slight shift here and the start will be grander. Indeed, the start of the race will be given at the football stadium in Lokeren, where the VIP guests can also have brunch in the morning.
The finish has also shifted over the years, last year for the first time the riders made their final sprint on a long straight on the Gewestweg N403 in Kemzeke. And the organisation is keeping that finish, because it gives a spectacular view for the spectators.
Throughout the course, too, things were made more exciting last year and this year too promises to be a fascinating spectacle. For example, the riders have to attack several times over cobbled sections, even in the closing local laps in Kemzeke. This caused breaks in the peloton last year.

Top favourites of 2024
Last year there were no less than three Belgians in the top five.
Although the big pros did not participate then, this year they do. So the race is back on the International calendar which means riders with a 1.2 status will be back at the starting line. Who the top favourites are this year, is something we will share with you later. For this, we will of course first have to take a look at the preparation and training of the cyclists.

Managing director Pieter De Witte sees many similarities between cycling and painting.
"Just like painting, cycling is a collaboration between individuals", he explains. "It brings people together. Think about the first time you bought a house, did you pull on the sleeve of your family and friends to come and help you? Or did you want to share the result of your beautiful home as much as possible? Exactly. The more souls, the more joy," Pieter says.
In addition, Tintrio is an online paint shop, but we can also be physically reached for paint and colour advice in the Waasland area. Or more specifically in the industrial park in Stekene, which is right in the region where the race takes place. By sponsoring this cycling event, we not only increase the brand awareness of our web shop, but also that of our physical service point.
