Hammerite Ultima - Protects all metals
Description
Hammerite Ultima is a premium waterborne metal paint with anti-rust properties that can be used without primer or undercoat on ferrous and non-ferrous metals (iron, steel, zinc, aluminium, galvanised steel, ...). In addition, this metallic paint can be applied to both bare metal and over rusted parts with a long-lasting durable and decorative protection against weather conditions and UV rays for up to 12 years. As Hammerite Ultima metal paint is fast-drying, it is perfectly possible to apply several coats in one day. For good protection, it is recommended to apply at least 2 coats with a brush or 3 coats with a roller.
For optimal results and good adhesion of the paint, first remove loose traces of oxidation or flaking paint with a wire brush or with sandpaper. Other dirt can then be removed with Hammerite Metaal Ontvetter. For surfaces with heavily pitted rust spots, it is best to pre-treat first with Hammerite Nr. 1 Anitroest Primer.
Hammerite Ultima metal paint contains Color Lock Technology which gives the product extra protection against the natural discolouration process caused by the sun and ensures longer gloss retention.
Note: If Hammerite Ultima is to be used on copper always pre-treat first with Hammerite Non Ferro Metaal Primer regardless of the condition of the metal.
